What it does on the hands
The 24-pin tip works at 1 to 2 mm over the back of each hand, where there is skin and tendon and little else. Crepey skin tightens and thickens over the three months after the course as collagen rebuilds. Prominent veins and lost volume are a different question, which the clinician names at the free consultation; age spots are pigmentation, which Morpheus8 does not treat directly.
The evidence
The device is FDA-cleared in the US for dermatological procedures needing coagulation or contraction of soft tissue. No published study measures the hands alone, and we say so; the mechanism is the one studied on the face.
Who it suits, and the session
Crepey, thinning skin on the backs of the hands, in someone who wants the hands to match a treated face and neck. At the higher energy levels the device is cleared in the US for skin types I to IV; darker skin is treated at lower settings. Numbing cream for 30 to 45 minutes, then a short session for both hands, with redness, swelling and grid marks for several days, gloves or SPF 50 outdoors for a month; the downtime page goes through the days.
