Horizontal lines across the forehead and skin that has lost its smoothness there are treated at shallow depth, because the forehead is skin over bone with little tissue between. InMode's guidance lists the forehead with the area around the eyes as a bony area, treated at the shallowest depths of 1 to 2 mm. The heat contracts the skin and builds collagen, which softens the lines and tightens the surface. A course is three sessions, four to six weeks apart. What it does on the forehead

The 24-pin face tip, or the small 12-pin tip where needed, works at about 2 mm and then 1 mm across the forehead, usually in the same session as the rest of the face. Lines that are etched into the skin soften as new collagen fills them from below. Lines that show only when the brow moves are a muscle question, which our doctor can treat with injectable treatments, and the clinician tells you which yours are at the free consultation. As InMode's guidance advises, the thinnest, most curved skin at the top of the forehead and the temples is left out.

The evidence

The device is FDA-cleared in the US for dermatological procedures needing coagulation or contraction of soft tissue. A 2025 safety study of 364 foreheads, among other zones, reported no darker or lighter patches, scarring or prolonged redness. Published studies measure the face as a whole rather than the forehead alone, and we say so.

Who it suits, and the session

Fine to moderate lines and a crepey or uneven surface on the forehead, in someone whose brow is not heavy or dropped; a heavy brow needs a different plan, and the clinician says which. At the higher energy levels the device is cleared in the US for skin types I to IV; darker skin is treated at lower settings. Numbing cream for 30 to 45 minutes, the forehead treated within a 30 to 45 minute face session, with redness, swelling and grid marks for two to five days; the downtime page goes through the days. The change shows from about three weeks, peaks at three months after the last session, and lasts a year or more in our clinic's experience with one maintenance session a year.
